Qualified Dental Nurse

We are looking to hire a full time or part time qualified dental nurse at a private dental practice in N8,Hornsey London Job Descriptions and Duties: Perform high quality dental nursing whilst assisting each dentist, hygienist or therapist in all procedures in a safe and effective manner Provide chair side assistance to dentist by passing instruments, mixing filling materials, suctioning Set-up and prepare the treatment room appropriately for each patient Prepare the necessary materials and instruments, making sure that equipment and instruments are in good working order and maintained regularly in accordance with practice policy Work in decontamination room sterilising instruments and packaging ready for re use. Follow the practice procedures for infection prevention and control Segregate waste in accordance with the practice procedures and ensure its safe disposal Assist in taking radiographs according to your level of training Process, mount and file dental radiographs Maintain and decontaminate equipment in accordance with manufacturers instructions and your training Assist with reception duties and perform other clerical duties if required Maintain professional indemnity and registration with the GDC Undertake CPD in line with the GDC guidelines Establish, promote and maintain productive working relationships with all members of the dental team Use dental computer system to maintain patient records Maintain patient confidentiality Essential Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organisational skills Experience in working with some or all dental specialists: Implantologist, Periodontist, Endodontist, Orthodontist GDC registration Experience/Qualification in taking CBCT and intra oral scanners is an advantage Local to the area would be an advantage Working Schedule: This job is full time or part time, 5 days a week or 2/3 days.
