Personal Care Assistants Location: Croydon Position: Personal Care Assistants Type: Part-Time (AM & PM shifts available) Hours: AM: 9:00 AM to 1:40 PM PM: 12:10 PM to 3:30 PM Days: Monday to Friday About Us: Join this dedicated team at a specialized PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) school, where we provide compassionate care and support to children aged 4 to 19 with complex needs. Their mission is to create an inclusive, nurturing environment that empowers each child to thrive. Role Overview: As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students in their daily activities. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting children with personal care tasks, including feeding, dressing, and hygiene. Supporting educational and developmental activities tailored to individual needs. Promoting independence and fostering a sense of belonging. Collaborating with teachers and therapists to implement personalized care plans. Ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students. Qualifications: Previous experience in a care or educational setting is preferred but not essential. A genuine passion for working with children with PMLD and complex needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to individual requirements. Relevant qualifications in care, education, or related fields are a plus.
