Hospital Director

Melber Flinn is a specialist healthcare recruitment business, focused on placing management and change professionals into the NHS and private healthcare. We are currently supporting a large private provider of mental health services to find a Hospital Director for one of its sites in the West Midlands. The role: You will be managing a high performing hospital, which provides a range of mental health and rehabilitation services with c. 25 inpatient beds. The Hospital has had a stable recent history of leadership, with no significant people or cultural issues that need to be addressed. They are held in high regard by CQC but the incoming Hospital Director will need to continue to drive quality standards to maintain the reputation of the unit and to maintain strong referrals and to keep occupancy levels high. Person specification: You will ideally be a registered mental health nurse (RMN) or Occupational Therapist by professional training, with a deep understanding of mental health services from either the NHS or independent sector. You will bring strong operational management and clinical leadership skills, and you will balance a focus on quality improvement with the need to maintain growth and profitability. You will be well rewarded and eligible for a bonus based on achieving personal, financial and quality based objectives. You will have the support of corporate infrastructure, but a strong degree of autonomy to manage the hospital.
