Job summaryAre you an experienced Healthcare Assistant looking for a new challenge?An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced support worker to join our dedicated Gynaecological Out Patient Department at Maidstone Hospital.This is a busy department, with a varied and wide array of clinics which also offering the opportunity to be involved in supporting and assisting clinical staff in our 2 dedicated minor procedures suites.If you are an experienced Healthcare Assistant with a passion for Women's Health we would love to hear from you.Occasional weekend working and cross site cover may be required. Main duties of the jobThe role exists to provide a multi-skilled worker who supports the Gynaecological outpatients department with clinical and non-clinical practices in order to provide patient-centred care. After appropriate training has been given, the post-holder will undertake a range of delegated duties without direct supervision from a clinician. The post-holder will be involved in the development of other Healthcare Assistants and will be responsible for their own personal and professional development.Please note that this role may often attract a high level of applications. Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts Clinical Induction Programme for Clinical Support Workers (which starts on the first day of employment). The programme is full-time (please contact the CSW Induction Programme Lead ifthis is going to be problematic: [email protected]),lasts for two weeks and will involve travelling tobothTrust sites.Theprogramme includes 2 supernumerary shiftsin the clinical area (an early and a late shift),all of the other days are classroom-based andrun from 9am to 5pm Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check at Enhanced Level. Mature approach to gynaecological issues when dealing with patients. Ability to co-ordinate a number of activities which may require the adjustment of plans. Ability/ willingness to work across site if required. Desirable 12 lead ECG's Phlebotomy Person Specification Qualifications Essential Level 3 in "Health" or "Health and Social Care" or equivalent Level 2 Qualification in "Health" or "Health and Social Care" Experience & Knowledge Essential Experience of working as a Healthcare Professional in a gynaecological environment.
