Prestige Nursing & Care are looking for experienced Care Assistants to support a lady in her own home who has complex care needs. She lives at home with family who are also very involved in her care, are extremely proactive and responsive to her needs. Your role is to support the family and provide respite support to them - to accompany her on outings and to day centre when required. She has a suitable mobility vehicle which you would need to drive - so drivers are important in her team. This lady has learning disabilities and complex health needs, she has cerebral palsy and therefore has complex moving and handling needs too. She isn't able to communicate verbally but with her laughter (and sometimes cries) - she is able to guide you as to whether she is happy or not. She loves staff to sing and dance around her, she loves activities and she enjoys interaction/company. How will you be helping? We're looking for: Six months' paid experience in care Excellent communication skills A driver's licence is a bonus but not essential Good professional and personal references In line with CQC & Care Inspectorate regulations, we require and will undertake Enhanced DBS/PVG, Right to Work, Reference and Employment History checks in line with Government guidelines for this role and safer recruitment best practice.
