If so, we are looking for people with or without experience in care to join our busy Theatres team at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. We will teach you everything you need to know and all we ask is that you are a caring and kind person with a genuine desire to help and support our patients by providing exceptional care. You'll not be doing this alone, you will join one of our dynamic and caring teams. You will work alongside many colleagues which include Healthcare Support workers & registered Nurses to name a few. Our Care Support Workers provide some of the most personal and fundamental support to our patients so if you feel the above is you then we want to hear from you. Please note, sponsorship is not available for this role. Main duties of the jobYou will work alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide a positive experience to our patients and their relatives at times of need. You will support patients in various ways such as:washing and dressingtoiletingbed makingserving patients meals/assisting with feedinghelping people to mobiliseassisting with patients' overall comfortproviding encouragement to lifestyle and behaviour changesIt's really important to consider that some aspects of healthcare work can be distressing and unpleasant. You will be expected to help patients with personal care without being embarrassed or feeling awkward. You will need to be able to communicate sympathetically with patients, and distressed relatives, and care for patients who are very sick.
