Role Objective: To contribute to the growth and success of the Company by building and managing a national team(s) of nurses providing complex clinical homecare services in patients’ homes. Responsibilities include: The role of the Nurse Manager can be divided into 2 distinct operational categories and responsibilities: * Clinical * Managerial While each category has separate areas of responsibility, they overlap and must be run with the same degree of competence and efficiency to achieve the aim of a successful national capability. The following job profile aims to guide the National Clinical Lead towards the desired success level. It is measurable and achievable and can be a valuable tool to assess the individual’s performance. It highlights the roles and responsibilities of the National Clinical Lead with focus on key performance indicators and the performance level that is expected of the post-holder. Each category has been divided into 2 key responsibility areas as listed below. Clinical * Supporting the Clinical Operations Manager to maintain the high Standards of Care we provide. * To assist in providing excellent standards of patient care on behalf of the client and associated healthcare professionals in the UK * To be responsible, without supervision, for the teaching of patients/carers to self-administer therapy, or the administration of therapies to patients in accordance with service specific protocols. * Participating in setting and maintaining standards of professional competence and current nursing practices, always working within The NMC Code. * Assist the Clinical Operations Manager and other team members in support of the patient care programmes, as required. * Ensure that a high standard of service is established, and always delivered, for the patient and their associated multi-disciplinary healthcare team. * Assisting with the recruitment of clinical staff * Responsibility for the standards of training, compliance with training requirements and the maintenance of training records for all clinical staff * Compliance with company policies, procedures, competencies etc * Compliance with service level agreements, work orders and contracts * Ability to safely care for 100% of patients within the regional teams. * Assist with the design, implementation, and delivery of clinical services. * Ensure clinical services are delivered in accordance with all current guidelines and available data. * All nurses to be in uniform all the time whilst on duty. * All nurses to have in date anaphylaxis kits available for all clinical visits. * Nurses’ kits to be clean and complete. * Provide evidence of stock rotation within nurses’ cars. * Demonstrate evidence of compliance with waste disposal policy. Managerial · Supporting clinical governance framework. · Undertaking clinical supervision for allocated clinical staff. · Annual appraisal of allocated clinical staff · 100% compliance with documentation completion and submission · 100% compliance with PV/AE reporting · Team appearance - cars, uniforms, equipment · Evidenced information cascade · Effective office facilities management · Providing support to the Business Development Team as required. · Ensure data protection and confidentiality are always adhered to by the clinical team. · Ability to demonstrate a minimum of 6 team meetings per year. · Timely response to company communication- i.e., e-mails, memos etc. · To monitor and assist with the induction of newly appointed staff. · All team, including bank staff to submit all data on time in full – including any data sheets, CE forms and movement sheets. · Provide support for investigating and responding to complaints regarding the nursing service. · Assist in the allocation and scheduling of trained and competent nurses for patient visits. · Provide support for Clinical Operations Manager as requested · Provide support in designing, reviewing and roll-out of clinical service documentation. · Assisting Clinical Operations Manager to ensure up to date and accurate training records are maintained for nursing team. · Provide a point of contact for nursing team to support Clinical Operations Manager in ensuring high quality, safe and effective is always delivered to patients. · Working closely with Pharma Clients as requested by needs of business, acting as a lead contact where requested. Experience: * RGN Part 1 of the NMC Register * Experience in an acute care setting / relevant ENB post registration. * Experience in administration of sub-cut therapies cannulation and phlebotomy skills, care of IV devices and IV therapies. * ENB 998 or C&G 730 and /or teaching experience. * Experience in management of business plan and budget, ability to comply with service level agreements, policies, procedures, competencies and CQC Care Standards * Experience in team management.
