Location: Ipswich
Position: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £27,805 - £31,500 per annum (pro-rata) plus 30% enhancements for nights and weekends
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and committed Registered Nurse to join a specialist care team in Ipswich. This role focuses on providing care for individuals with acquired brain injuries and a range of neurological conditions, including Huntingtons disease, Parkinsons, and multiple sclerosis.

About the Role:
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality personalised nursing care for service users. They will lead the care team in ensuring that service users and their families receive the best possible care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised clinical care using evidence-based guidelines, while providing specialist advice to service users.
- Leadership: Provide support, leadership, recognition, and supervision to other team members, including demonstrating activities to new or less experienced colleagues.
- Care Planning: Ensure that service users and their families/carers are fully involved in the care planning and review process.
- Training & Supervision: Offer education, training, and guidance to carers, colleagues, and students.
- Continuous Improvement: Use evidence-based practice to maintain and improve service users care, contributing to service development and policy improvements.
- Record Keeping: Ensure that all records are maintained according to corporate policies, procedures, and NMC guidelines.
- Team Management: Ensure the care team provides care in line with evidence-based care plans, managing admissions, discharges, and liaising with medical and nursing colleagues.
- Safe Practice: Facilitate a safe working environment, uphold confidentiality, and occasionally take on reasonable additional tasks as needed.
- Essential:
- NMC Registered Nurse
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of current legislation in the independent care sector
- IT competency
- Desirable:
- Experience in neurological or palliative care
- Completion of NMC Standards for Student Supervision and/or Assessment, or willingness to complete this training
- Be part of a dedicated, supportive team
