Team Leader for Care Home Position: Team Leader Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire Type: Full-Time (min 35 hours) Salary: Competitive, based on experience (£13.40-£15) MUST BE FLEXIBLE ON SHIFT PATTERNS AND HOURS. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our dedicated team. Role Overview As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in leading and supporting a team of care staff to deliver exceptional care to our residents. You will ensure that all care is delivered in accordance with regulatory requirements, best practices, and our company values. This is a hands-on role that requires both leadership skills and a strong commitment to high-quality care. Key Responsibilities * Leadership and Supervision: Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of care staff to deliver outstanding care. * Care Planning: Ensure that all residents have personalized care plans that are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect their changing needs. * Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of care provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., CQC) and company policies. * Training and Development: Support the training and professional development of care staff, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver excellent care. * Communication: Liaise with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure residents' needs are being met. * Support and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to care staff, addressing any concerns or issues that arise and fostering a positive working environment. * Administration: Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation, including care plans, medication records, and daily notes. Qualifications and Skills * Experience: Previous experience as a Senior Carer, Team Leader, or similar role in a care home setting or similar care setting * Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. * Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a busy environment. * Empathy: A genuine passion for caring for others and improving the quality of life for residents. * Knowledge of Regulations: Understanding of CQC standards and other relevant care home regulations.
