Our client’s hospital in Greater Manchester offers specialized treatment for various mental health conditions and addictions. The hospital consists of three inpatient units, providing expert care for adults facing a range of mental health challenges, young individuals with eating disorders, and adults in need of addiction rehabilitation and treatment. Additionally, it delivers well-established, evidence-based outpatient services for a wide array of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, stress, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and bipolar disorder. Private autism assessments for adults are also available. The Hospital Director will be responsible for overseeing the hospital’s financial and operational performance, which includes leading the Senior Management Team (SMT), managing cost control and budgeting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. As the Registered Manager, the Director will also be accountable for the daily operations, ensuring they meet all legal requirements. The role requires ensuring that the hospital meets its targets for business planning, financial performance, and care quality standards. The Director must cultivate and sustain a culture where the highest standards of care are consistently achieved while driving improvements and innovation in service delivery. The Hospital Director will chair the monthly Clinical Governance Meetings and quarterly Medical Advisory Committee meetings, supported by the Medical Director. Additionally, the Director will collaborate closely with the HR team on-site to develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies, manage staffing levels, and control agency costs, while also promoting staff engagement. Candidates should have extensive senior-level experience, preferably in a similar setting, with strong operational and financial planning skills. Experience in commercial accountability, including cost control and financial performance, is essential. The ideal candidate will also have significant managerial and leadership experience, with a deep understanding of healthcare service development and a proven track record of success and innovation.
