We are a small and friendly team of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. We are based in the purpose built Badenoch & Strathspey Community Hospital in Aviemore.We work with the adult population, in the hospital in Aviemore, and the community setting of Badenoch & Strathspey. Our patients are mainly older adults, and people with long term conditions.We are looking for a Band 3 Physiotherapy Assistant to join us in a permanent role. This is an ideal opportunity for either someone with experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant, or for someone with the right qualities who is looking to start working in Physiotherapy / rehabilitation in the NHS.The post involves working on the ward, out patients, home visits and assisting in exercise classes. There are also administrative duties involved, so basic IT skills are essential for the post. Days/hours of working: Tuesday to Friday (some room for flexibility around start and finish times, so please contact us to discuss before applying)Experience of working in the NHS is desirable but not essential. Full training and supervision will be provided by our very experienced Physiotherapy Team.You should have a full UK driving licence and access to use of a car for work.Please feel free to get in touch to discuss the post and to find out more about the job. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
