Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 2 HCSW to join our friendly and supportive team at Pillmawr Rehabilitation Ward. The post is for 37.5 hours per week working 3 x 12 hour shifts. Mixture of days/nights and weekends.We are looking for staff who have energy, enthusiasm, commitment and drive and who are patient-centred.You will have the opportunity to develop your skills under the supervision of our qualified nurses, caring for patients during their rehabilitation and in achieving their discharge with the best possible outcomes.The post holder will work under the supervision/guidance of a registered nurse/clinical lead and will work collaboratively with them and the wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT). Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be expected to act at all times within the guidelines of the client's care plan and within the supervision of senior support and or professional in chargeThe post holder is expected to maintain positive relationships with service users, relatives, carers, members of the mental health team. They are also expected to work under the guidance of CPNs, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Dieticians, Psychologists Speech and Language therapists, District Nurses, Consultants and other medics.The post holder will be expected to attend and fully complete an agreed induction programme and undertake on-going training relevant to the role. They will also have the option to achieve a Health and Social Care NVQ Level 3 or equivalent to support their career development.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
