Purpose of the Role Founded in 1935, Christie & Co is the largest firm of specialist business agents and valuers in the UK with 11 offices and a further 11 across continental Europe. Our core services are the valuation and sale of trading businesses across the Healthcare, Hospitality and Retail sectors. We expanded into Dental practice sales in 2013 and are now the leading agent in this highly specialist field. Our clients range from single-handed dentists to the leading corporate operators, across all forms of Dentistry including NHS, private and orthodontics. There has recently been promotions and growth within the team along with demand in market activity, thus we are now looking for a dynamic agent to join our team, based in our Bristol office, and working mainly across the South West region. It is likely that you will have been working in property sales or a similar environment for at least a year. Our experienced team will provide all the training and support you will need to be a successful Dental agent in this niche and competitive market. The Role: Assisting senior colleagues with the management of business sales as part of a project team Once you have gained an understanding of the Dental sector, you will be responsible for a variety of meetings including ‘inspections’ (client pitches) with business owners, liaising with sector professionals/introducers, delivering presentations and attending exhibitions & conferences. Estimate the value of the business using the correct estimation calculations and processes Preparing marketing literature, managing enquiries from interested parties, encouraging offers and negotiating sales Arrange & follow up viewings and process offers including buyer due diligence. Progressing sales by liaising with key contacts, including solicitors Providing ongoing advice to clients to ensure a successful outcome Utilising our advanced Salesforce CRM system, in order to manage the sale processes to deliver real-time, accurate reporting Developing your own portfolio of business sales across the region Networking with fellow professionals, industry contacts and influencers Working as part of our motivated team to enhance our reputation and profile UK wide Skills and Experience Previous experience within commercial or residential Estate Agency business; Essential Commercial brokerage experience; Desirable Strong verbal and written communication skills; Essential Highly organised and self-motivated; Essential Relevant Real Estate degree; Desirable GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above in Maths and English; Essential Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office – especially Excel and PowerPoint; Essential UK Driver’s licence and confident with driving long distances; Essential Your personal characteristics Very high personal standards Energetic and self-driven Knowledge of the property sector and property trends Exceptional negotiation and communication skills Great and natural communication skills Hard working and resilient A good level of numeracy and literacy Working relationships Within this role you will be guided, supported and work closely with the Head of Dental and the MD for Medical and the wider medical team across the UK, in addition you will also work closely with existing business agents, finance and insurance brokers , support staff and a wider central support team of IT and Marketing personnel.
