The home is set around a lovely old vicarage, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. This provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst still providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal care, including nursing and dementia care, for 42 residents.Competencies for Nurse:Leadership skillsAbility to work under pressureGood time managementExcellent people skillsA caring and nurturing attitudePositive and enthusiastic outlookFlexibility with working hoursGood written and oral communication skillsDay to Day Responsibilities for Nurse:You will work with the Home Manager, Clinical Lead and other trained nurses in the Home, to assess, plan, implement and evaluate quality nursing care to ensure the highest standards of care are always delivered to our residents. This should ensure positive outcomes for our residents including, inter alia: no pressure sores, no unavoidable weight loss (or gain), safe administration of medication, and all falls are minimised.You will support our carers to provide personal care and support with daily activities such as washing, dressing and eating.You will be responsible for administering medication, writing and updating nursing care plans and keeping accurate daily records, as well as keep all mandatory training up to date and complete additional training as required.You will be promoting our resident's choice, dignity and independence and all times and assist with the management of the care team, completing all action plans and ensuring care plans are updated and evaluated regularly.Essential Requirements for Nurse:A good reason or experience that has drawn you to working in a care setting.Relevant Professional qualification (e.g. Registered Nurse (RGN / RMN / RNLD)).Minimum of one year experience in residential / nursing home setting of which at least one year must be with people living with dementia.Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning.Full Driving Licence.To ensure knowledge is gained to demonstrate a good understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of the signs of abuse and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation of abuse.Satisfactory Care Character AssessmentLive within 30 minutes of the HomePreferred Requirements for Nurse:Two years' experience in a similar role in a nursing home.One year experience of caring for residents living with dementia.Experience of supervising team members.RGN Qualification.Experience as a Senior in Health or Social Care or above.A little about Jasmine Healthcare:By prioritising our people, our mission is to provide the highest standards of care to as many elderly residents as possible.
