The post holder will work across the services of Interventional Radiology (IR) and Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy Team (OPAT) to deliver high standards of patient care and quality of service provision. The post holder will support the team in making the best use of resources to ensure efficient delivery of planned and emergency workload. This post will involve working in the Interventional Radiology lab, the Interventional Ultrasound (US) lab and the day care unit.You will be a part of our friendly team of fellow Nurses, Clinical Specialists, Radiographers and Consultant Radiologists.The team will support you with the new management aspects that this role requires, whilst also enabling you to develop and learn with host of internal and external courses that Croydon Hospital can provide you.**Monday - Friday working hours** **Great work-life balance** **Learn and develop new clinical skills** Main duties of the job ***PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT APPLY*** Staff Nurse - Band 5 - Secondment/Fixed term opportunity for 1 year Working hours - Between 0800 and 1800An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse to join the Interventional Radiology team in their department at Croydon University Hospital.You will provide care and support to patients undergoing Interventional procedures. You will act as a scrub/circulating nurse within the Interventional Lab for numerous procedures, including angioplasty, nephrostomy and embolisation. Following an agreed training programme, you would be expected to participate in nurse led conscious sedation and possibly an out of hours emergency service.Prior experience in Radiology or an acute setting would be an advantage.
