Advocate / Social Care Coordinator Northumberland Initial 3 month fixed term contract Social work background required Salary up to £28,000 pro rata plus travel costs A reputable organisation is looking for an Advocate/Social Work professional to cover their Northumberland region. The role will be responsible for visiting clients in care homes to ensure they are happy with surroundings, have a representative and that care plans are in place. Duties will include: Supporting clients to help them understand their rights Working in line with legislation across mental health, care and human rights acts. Ensure care provided is within the clients best interests Raise any safeguarding concerns To be considered suitable you will need the following skills/experience: Ability to commute to care homes in the Northumberland region (mileage costs covered) Social care background and understanding of legislation Experience in advocacy would be advantageous
