Practice Nurse

MCG Healthcare are working with a practice based in Mansfield (NG21 ) that require a Practice Nurse on a party time basis starting as soon as possible. The position can become full time in the future as the practice has a nurse retiring in 2025. Location : Two-site GP Training Practice Patient List : 12,600 patients Hours : 25 hours per week (preferably across 4 days) Salary : Dependent on experience, negotiable at interview About the practice : A well-established GP training practice, serving a diverse patient population of 12,600 across two sites. The clinical team is highly supportive and collaborative, comprising a Lead Nurse, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 Nurse Associates, 2 Healthcare Assistants (HCAs), a Phlebotomist, a Paramedic, and 2 Clinical Pharmacists through our Primary Care Network (PCN). The Role : We are looking for a qualified Practice Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers 25 hours per week, ideally spread across 4 days. You will work closely with our experienced nursing team and wider clinical staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. As a key member of the practice, you will be involved in a wide range of nursing duties, including but not limited to: Chronic disease management (not a deal breaker if not able) Immunisations and vaccinations Cervical screening Health promotion and disease prevention Wound management and dressings Family planning and contraception advice Phlebotomy and health checks (if required) What We Offer : A friendly, supportive working environment with a focus on professional development The opportunity to work alongside a multi-disciplinary team Access to continuous learning and development opportunities Salary that is competitive and negotiable, depending on experience Requirements : Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration Previous experience in a GP practice or primary care setting is preferred Competency in chronic disease management, immunisations, and cervical screening Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
