BDS are recruiting for a Housing & Care Manager to be based at an extra care scheme in the SM1 area of Sutton This is a temporary ongoing position, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm Salary in Circa of £50,000 per annum PAYE This role is working within a scheme that provides an outstanding retirement living service to residents within their own apartments who have access to an onsite care team and range of social activities . Within the role you will be responsible for the operational management and quality of the care services within the scheme ensuring high standards are continuously meeting resident needs. This will be supported by an assistant manager and administrator. You will also ensure residents receive a high quality and responsive housing and care service in a safe and secure environment, including providing support where necessary and encouraging independence and choice. You will be expected to collaborate with the housing provider, local authority and their stakeholders to promote a positive atmosphere within the Court whilst encouraging social interaction and reducing isolation. Criteria * Residential day or community services for older people * Extra Care or Home care services for older people * Prevention or re-enablement services for older people * Experience of supervising and managing a small team, ideally within an organisation providing Social Care and / or Social Housing. * Experience in Housing Management & Maintenance * Experience is Housing aid and advice * Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team * Relevant professional Qualification (e.g. Diploma in social care level 4/5 and or Diploma in the Chartered Institute of Housing) (or willingness to undertake this qualification if put in post) We know that work-life balance is just as important as professional development, so we offer flexible working from day one.
