Job Introduction Career progression for the caring profession.As a Support Services Supervisor - Healthcarefor Sodexo at Ferryfield House Community Hospital Edinburgh, you are also a quality-of-life improver; you play an important role brightening the day of those in patient care and making a positive impact in their daily lives.This great opportunity is a varied role assisting the Hotel Services Manager in the daily running of Ferryfield House from a soft services perspective - Catering, Domestic, Laundry and Portering. Your focus will be on the delivery of high-quality customer focussed services across the site to meet the needs of the patients and visitors. You will effectively support with managing the multi services soft FM team to deliver and maintain a high-quality service whilst delivering the highest possible standard of Food service & cleanliness and environment. We are therefore seeking someone with a keen interest in healthcare operations management to step in as a deputy in the absence of our Hotel Services Manager. You will be involved in all the areas within the hospital which are covered by the catering, cleaning and portering services delivered by Sodexo. It would suit someone with soft services facilities management experience, a team player with attention to detail who has supervised or led a team before. Catering experience is required within this fresh cook environment.This is a busy healthcare environment. Effectively manage the services & teams to deliver and maintain a high-quality service.To assist with administrating payroll via Kronos month end procedures and maintenance of personnel recordsDeliver the highest possible standard of Food service and environment for patients, visitors, and staff.Assist the Manager in the preparation and completion of menu planning ordering and stock control."Walk the floor" during service periods to ensure that excellent levels service is being delivered.Manage and deliver effective and efficient services, that meet contractual obligations, KPIs and agreed company policies and procedures.For a full list of responsibilities please view the attached job descriptionWhat you bring:A good knowledge and experience of a similar functionGood communication skillsGood work ethics working within a time scale, and progressive thinking. Relevant craft skills and qualifications - Food Safety Level 3, IOSHH or similar.Proven experience of leading a team within a comparable service environmentAbility to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, colleagues, clients.Understanding of relevant Health and Safety, Employment and other legislative requirementsStrong attention to detail and adherence to standardsProven IT skills, ability to demonstrate working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)What we offer:£27,500pa - £28,000pa + excellent benefits packageWorking with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to be part of something greater.
