Your primary purpose will be to support this individual to live a meaningful, happy life. You will empower him to identify his goals, pursue hobbies, support his health and wellbeing, and be a part of the local community. This young man is an avid film buff, therefore an interest in films would be an advantage, particularly Harry Potter and Marvel Films!Given the nature of the role there is a requirement for candidates to hold a full, valid and clean driving licence, access to their own motorised transport, and business insurance policy.Is this role for you?You're an experienced, empathetic and resilient Support Worker, deeply committed to assisting people with additional needs who can present challenging behaviour. You're compassionate, observant, patient and confident in handling potentially difficult situations. You are skilled in monitoring changes in mood and developing techniques to calm and de-escalate. Ideally you will have knowledge and experience of complex needs including autism.
