Senior ICU Nurse

Senior Intensive Care Nurse Location: London Permanent Fulltime This is a Monday-Sunday, Days, Nights and Weekends role with the following shift patterns: * 6 week rota of 19 shifts * 08:00 – 20:30 and 20:00 – 08:30 Senior Intensive Care Nurse The Intensive Care Senior Staff Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care of patients requiring level 2 and 3 care and are expected to be able to provide general and specialised direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organisation. What will your duties include? * Suitable experience as an ICU Senior Staff Nurse * Provides direct nursing care to patients requiring level 2&3 care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols. * Prioritises nursing care, recognizes deterioration in patient’s condition and escalates to the senior nursing team /clinicians immediately. * Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. * Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Senior Intensive Care Nurse What we need from you? * Current nursing registration (First Level) through the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) required, with no restrictions to practice * Must be willing to undertake relevant post-registration courses * Demonstrable clinical experience in the field of high acuity critically-ill adults with invasive lines, mechanical ventilation, continuous and intermittent hemodialysis, and vasoactive intravenous medications in a hospital setting. * Wide range of experience working in critical care specialties including cardiac and cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, renal, and GI surgery. * Completed 60 credits Adult Critical Care/Intensive Care Course or equivalent & Completed Step 1 Critical Care Competencies Course Benefits: * 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) * Auto-Enrolment of 5% pension - we contribute 10% through Salary Exchange * Season Ticket Loans & Cycle to Work Scheme * Life Insurance, Private Medical & Dental Insurance and Eye Care contributions * Workplace Nursery Scheme * Discounted on-site gym facilities * 24/7 Holistic Employee Assistance Programme Senior Intensive Care Nurse If you or anyone you know may be interested, please apply with your most up to date CV!
