This is a full time, permanent position, working a 37 hr flexible week Monday - Friday. The purpose of this job is to work with our clients to aid the development of packaging integrity testing. Including, but not limited to: primary packaging integrity tests, blister push through testing, seal integrity testing, visual appearance testing. Become a practical expert in the bottle filling packaging techniques relevant to a primary pack presentation with focus on seal integrity, capable of training others in the technique and application.Responsibilities:Testing various blister material to gain knowledge on the optimum running parameters and comparing these to the data already available from current equipment. Including optimized usage of Vision 3D Blister seal integrity analysis equipment and developing a method using the USON vacuum decay equipment for testing HDPE bottle seal integrity.Developing methods using the USON vacuum decay equipment for testing Stick pack seal integrity communicating with both Pack lead and drug product workstream lead for the priority stick pack product in development.Assessment of the blisters created including push through testing, wall thickness and pocket depth measurements, Seal integrity and visual appearance assessments.Support the development of a packaging development strategy for bulk pack analysis, stability and preferred components for both drug substance and drug product.Delivering the Moisture modelling assessments of different packaging container closure systems and oral solid dose products. Identifying required desiccant levels for bulk and primary packaging presentations. The role holder will provide technical and practical support to project teams in the progression of the packaging aspects of projects, utilising the moisture modelling webapp.Accumulate and record data from a number of packaging development specific work packages, e.g. Distribution testing, MVTR, Child resistance assessments, USP compliance testing etc., to generate a database that can be used as the focal point for all prior knowledge discussions.Maintain database of current and historical packaging component specificationsAuthoring a technical document summarizing preferred ways of working for developing a bulk pack considering moisture modelling, desiccant requirements, preferred components etc. Reviewing previous bulk registration stability set downs especially when carried out in R&D highlighting good practices for recording data, review and approval of experiments and aligning with the relevant SOP’s.QualificationsB.S./M.S. degree in Packaging Engineering/Packaging Science, Chemistry, Life Science, or equivalent industry experience1-3 years experience in packaging development, primarily in pharmaceutical industry.Additional informationAt Eurofins we are growing, innovating and always learning.
