Personal Care Assistant

Job description Reliable Personal Care Assistant to assist with disabled young lady living with diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy, in a pleasant home environment in a location of HX6.Please note this role is for a female Personal assistant due to personal care support (exempt from Equalities Act) and is not open for sponsorship of overseas workers. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and meet all national safeguarding criteria. The role is only suitable for those based within Halifax, West Yorkshire who have access to own vehicle to travel to/from the role. The role does not include remote working, relocation fees or visa sponsorship.Main Duties and Responsibilities• Assistance with transfers to/from bed, wheelchair and commode• Assistance with all aspects of personal care e.g., washing, oral hygiene, commode use, dress/undress/changing of clothes• Basic food and drink preparationPerson SpecificationEssential• A desire to help others• Must be willing and able to follow all instructions for the individual's specific requirements• Excellent level of spoken English• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Highly experienced PA/Care Provider, including enabling choice and control for disabled people• Excellent hygiene standards• Reliable, trustworthy, respectful, discreet, sensitive, friendly and proactive in the roleA Disclosure and Barring check will be requested upon appointment.
