Job summaryRotherham Hospice is seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare SupportWorkers to join our Patient Care Services team as part of either the day or nightteam, with occasional rotation required.The Healthcare Support Worker role may be assigned to work within our Hospiceat Home Team or our Inpatient Unit at the Hospice, providing vital support topatients and their families during challenging times.Under the direction of the Hospice at Head of Hospice at Home or Head ofInpatient Unit, Healthcare Support Workers will assist in delivering high-quality,person centered care and support to patients with life-limiting illnesses, ensuringtheir comfort, dignity, and well-being.If you would prefer to apply via application form please contact [email protected] note we do not offer sponsorhip. Main duties of the jobPatient Care and SupportProvide compassionate and empathetic care and support to patients with life-limitingillnesses and their families, respecting their dignity, choices, and cultural preferences.Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, toileting, dressing, andfeeding, ensuring their physical comfort and well-being.Support patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning, using safe manual handlingtechniques and equipment as required.Facilitate late discharge and support overnight admissions into hospice care.Observation and ReportingMonitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and general condition, reporting any changesor concerns to the Head of Hospice at Home or Head of Inpatient Unit.Document patient observations, care interventions, and other relevant informationaccurately and timely in accordance with hospice policies and procedures.About usAt Rotherham Hospice, we provide exceptional care for all those affected by terminalillness and are the only adult hospice in Rotherham for the people of Rotherham andsurrounding villages.We began offering Day Hospice services in 1994, and have grown over the years to nowprovide a 14 bed Inpatient Unit alongside our Hospice Community Team who provide carein the community.
