Oldbury is a rehabilitation hospital with 13 en-suite bedrooms and 2 independent flats providing supportive rehabilitation for men with learning difficulties, ASC and/or mental health diagnosis. Benefits: Paid Overtime Free Meals supplied on site Company paid sick pay Company pension 28 days annual leave Free Employee Assistance Programme Annual Employee Awards Evening Employee Recognition Schemes Career progression within the company CareTech Foundation - Opportunity to apply for family and friend’s grants Free DBS checkEssential:   RMN or RNLD Qualified NMC Registered Able to work on a shift rota including nights Have experience working with individuals with mental health/learning disabilities and/or autism Good written and verbal communication skills Be resilient and able to work under pressure Be willing to take ownership for the delivery of quality careDesirable: Experience in working in MH/LD hospital environment Role and Responsibilities: To ensure a comprehensive assessment is completed for the patient’s journey   Ensure that each patient as an individual care plan and risk assessment, which considers the patient (if appropriate) and their carers views, with regular reviews  To administer medicine within the guidelines and framework of the Nursing and Midwifery Council and organisation protocols   Practice within the defined parameters under the Mental Health Act 1983/2007.    Provide clinical leadership and supervision for the rehab/support workers and students   Ensure all clinical documentation is of a high standard and patient notes are maintained and filed in the appropriate way   Provide a highly specialised range of clinical interventions and knowledge of evidence-based models of practice relevant to the patients’ needs   Working autonomously with confidence and competence to provide a highly specialised and safe service to the patient   To take appropriate action when working with vulnerable adults and children following guidelines and Trust procedures, liaising with appropriate agencies as required   Maintain and contribute to the standards of professional care, ethics, policies and procedures Maintain professional standards of practice at all times This is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities, the post holder may be required to undertake other duties following appropriate discussion with their line manager.
