We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our Waltham Forest team, pro-actively assisting in the delivery of comprehensive interventions aimed at improving health & wellbeing for service users.Our teams are multi-disciplinary, they consist of a service manager, consultant psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, health care assistants, recovery staff, volunteers, administrators, and peer mentors, all focused on bringing the individuals using our services the best possible support & interventions.In our services no two days are the same. Every person who comes into our service is treated as an individual, so understanding the importance of a whole person approach along with being curious, a good listener, a safe practitioner and having a flexible approach are essential skills.Where: Waltham ForestHours: 37.5 hours per weekSalary: CGL SP 22-24 (£26,732.00 - £28,268.79)ResponsibilitiesAbout the role:Working closely with your Nursing team to develop pathways to care Support service users in opiate and alcohol interventions. You will support on harm reduction interventions along with physical and mental health assessments. Keeping the people who use our services at the heart of everything you do supporting with specialist clinical interventions to people who use our services.About you: Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work flexibly as part of a team Experience of working within substance misuse or a social care setting would be an advantage but not essential A clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services Good organisational skills Confidence to work on own initiative as well as part of the team Communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing Respond flexibly to the demands of the post What we will give to you: 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays) rising by 1 day for each years' service "Capped at 30 days" Paid 'Wellness' hour each week along with a 'Wellness' hub and Employee Assist Programme Contributory pension scheme A great selection of benefits incl. discounts for shopping, cinema, holidays, etc. A friendly and supportive team Training, career development & progression opportunities Refer a friend scheme and receive £250 in vouchers if candidate is successful.
