What you will do: You will provide care homes with the Dietetic support needed to improve knowledge and contribute to the wellbeing of residents living in care homes. Working alongside the Community Dietetic teams you will provide professional leadership, expert advice, and best practice guidance and support for care home staff. You must have excellent communication skills and evidence of continued professional development in a related role for a minimum of 3 years. You must be prepared to undertake further relevant training for the role. You will work with autonomy and professional discretion to prioritise and determine the daily co-ordination of activities. You will be encouraged to maintain clinical skills one day a week in a community or hospital setting and you will be assigned a relevant senior colleague for mentorship. For further information on the role please click the link below to view the job description Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job: Degree in AHP discipline (Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Speech & Language Therapy) State registration with HCPC Evidence of continuing professional development. Evidence of working across a range of specialities including complex care, older people and community rehabilitation. Full-time hours will reduce from 37.5 to 37 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings. NHS Ayrshire and Arran will implement this change but it may not be possible to fully transition from 1 April and there may therefore be some areas of the organisation where implementation may take longer. If the department is currently unable to safely accommodate the reduced hours from 1st April, you may be required to work 37.5 hours per week (pro rata for part-time staff) until the department can meet the requirements without impacting patient safety - you will, of course, be remunerated accordingly.
