Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to enhance and manage client relationships within the localization industry, with a focus on the pharmaceutical sector. This role is essential for overseeing high-value client accounts, ensuring superior service delivery, and driving strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in localisation, exceptional client management skills, and specific experience in the pharmaceutical industry to effectively address client needs and build long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for major clients, managing their localisation projects with a focus on the pharmaceutical sector and ensuring high-quality service.
  • Develop and maintain robust relationships with key client stakeholders, understanding their localisation needs and strategic objectives.
  • Conduct regular client reviews to assess project performance, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Lead client meetings and presentations, ensuring clear communication and alignment with client expectations.

Project Oversight and Coordination:

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of localisation projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and deadlines.
  • Utilise localisation tools and technologies to analyse project requirements (e.g., content volume, languages, file formats) and optimise project workflows.
  • Source, negotiate with, and manage a network of localisation professionals, including translators, reviewers, and subject matter experts with pharmaceutical expertise.
  • Prepare and review cost estimates in accordance with client agreements and internal procedures, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance to ensure projects are delivered within agreed margins.

Strategic Account Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance client engagement, satisfaction, and retention within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Identify and capitalise on opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional localisation services to existing clients.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and client needs in the pharmaceutical sector to offer proactive solutions that drive client success and account growth.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Facilitate effective communication between clients and internal teams, ensuring timely and accurate exchange of project information.
  • Collaborate with various departments to align resources and strategies with client requirements and project objectives.
  • Manage and address client feedback, implementing corrective actions as necessary to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management or project management within the localisation industry, with specific experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Proven track record of managing high-profile client accounts with a focus on delivering exceptional service and cultivating client relationships.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English (at least B2 level); proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex client interactions and deliver strategic solutions.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with localisation tools and technologies (e.g., CAT tools, translation management systems) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
